HSE Advisor (Kirkuk Residents Only)

Job Description

Support the HSE Lead in implementing IGCC HSE requirements on site by conducting inspections, monitoring compliance, coaching the workforce, supporting incident investigations, and maintaining HSE records and reporting.


1. Key Responsibilities

• Promote IGCC safety culture and enforce site HSE rules and safe behaviors

• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety observations; track corrective actions

• Support PTW system implementation (hot work, confined space, lifting, working at height, excavation, etc.)

• Facilitate toolbox talks, inductions, and HSE awareness training as required

• Support risk assessments, JSA/JHA reviews, and method statement compliance verification

• Monitor subcontractor HSE compliance and interface with client HSE as needed

• Participate in incident/near-miss investigations; support root cause analysis and reporting

• Maintain HSE documentation: inspection reports, training records, NCR/CAPA actions, statistics

• Support environmental controls (waste segregation, spill prevention, housekeeping, hazardous materials)

• Support emergency preparedness drills and first aid readiness in coordination with site team

• Provide daily/weekly HSE reports to HSE Lead and follow up on open actions


2. Qualifications & Certifications

• Degree/Diploma in HSE, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Preferred: NEBOSH IGC (or equivalent), IOSH / OSHA

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 is an advantage

Requirements

    4+ years HSE experience (minimum 2–3 years in Oil & Gas)

    Strong knowledge of PTW, risk assessment/JSA, toolbox talks, inspections, incident reporting
  • 3
    Proficiency in Arabic, English and Kurdish is a must
  • 4
    Must be based in Kirkuk, with occasional travel to Basra when needed
