Job Description

• Adapts IGCC’s safety culture & Ensure that all provided services are conducted safely.

• Maintain Confidentiality Of Company information.

• Assess, develop, implement, and manage the strategic direction of HSE Business Unit.

• Review and assess the effectiveness of Health, Safety and Environmental activities and systems and identify changes or improvements as necessary.

• Lead the HSE team, setting BU objectives and departmental goals, communicating performance requirements, creating key metrics and monitoring progress.

• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the IGCC Management System Procedures.

• Direct, support and oversee HSE leads performance throughout all sites.

• Preparation of annual health, safety and environmental plans which set performance objectives and targets.

• Be fully conversant with existing and new statutory legislation, regulations and codes of practice affecting IGCC’s operations in Iraq.

• Provide BU performance reports to Project Director

• Participate in contract proposals providing HSE requirements and recommendations.

• Oversee and direct the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Department in support of all projects.

• Investigating the reporting of all incidents/accidents in liaison with relevant personnel, occurring on any IGCC work location. 

• Recommend HSE Minimum Standards for all IGCC operations and projects.

• Provide professional advice and support to EPC and Brownfield projects on HSE matters.

• Develop and ensure compliances with department annual budget.

• Provide Health, Safety and Environmental presentations to potential clients as requested.

• Develop detailed HSE projects status report to be presented to Projects Director

• Support and assist when necessary HSE leads across all sites.

• Performing periodical audits on sites ensuring effective HSE management.

Requirements

    15 years of experience with a minimum of 6 in Oil & Gas
  • 2
    Demonstrated excellence in managing & leading HSE teams
  • 3
    Thorough knowledge of Oil & Gas construction principles and activities
  • 4
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • 5
    Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • 6
    Knowledge of Medical requirement & First Aid
  • 7
    Fluent in written and spoken English
